More than 8,000 people, from all over the south east, attended!
Yes, that's right. After the meeting hall reached capacity of over 4,500, people gathered in the parking lots. With hundreds of radios tuned to AM 750 WSB - the Atlanta home to Neal Boortz and Sean Hannity, those who could not get into the auditorium stayed around and had a rally of their own.
Come on, everyone. Make sure you're getting in touch with your Congressman, Senators, and even your State governments. The Fair Tax is a reform who's time has come!

So, I was reading Neal's Nuze today, and found a link to an interesting article by Dick Morris.
In the article, Mr. Morris, a respected political advisor, posits that the only way Republicans can win this fall is to run like democrats.
In principal, I agree. The Republicans have to run hard, and tell people what they want to hear. After all, that's what the demo(socialists)crats do. They stand up and demagogue the sucessful people in the country (aka the rich), and tell people that their momma the 'gubment will take good care of them and give them something.

A solution other than the Fair Tax?
A few days ago a person who calls himself John W K (JWK) posted a comment to my article on the fair tax rally. In truth, because it was entirely 'links' to other sites, I did not authorize the comment to be posted. Instead, I emailed him and asked him to state his point without using off-site links.
Well, for the most part, he's done so, and his commentary will follow - our first guest comment on the Fair Tax.

It seems that our Senators forget who they're supposed to be representing.
Over the past several days those who feel they're smarter and more important than the constituents that they represent have been debating "immigration reform". Why they choose to use such politically correct terminology is just a symptom of the cancer of self importance that infects the Senate today.
Very few of the current membes of the Senate seem to understand that this "immigration" problem is actually something that the people of this country want dealt with.
As per usual, the trators to this country are mostly democrats - like Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Michigan Democrat. She and Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat, feel that these criminal invaders of our country deserve to suck at the Federal teet. These senators feel that illegal immigrants to this country ought to be rewarded with Social Security benefits, just because they may have paid into the system using forged or otherwise fraudulent paperwork.
So they vote to table an ammendment that would eliminate these criminals access to social security benefits that they may have accumulated while working here with forged documents.
